Bora AKSON is a disciplined and visionary executive with over 20 years of experience in construction, oil & gas, automotive, energy, and particularly mining industries, having served in both national and international projects. Throughout his career, he has specialized in Occupational Health and Safety, Environment, Quality, Information Technologies, and Integrated Management Systems, leading numerous corporate and digital transformation initiatives.

He has held senior positions in some of Turkey’s most strategic projects, such as the Akkuyu Nuclear Power Plant and Russia’s Yamal LNG Project, where he played a critical role in managing the safety and environmental performance of thousands of employees within HSE departments. Since 2020, he has transitioned into the mining industry, first serving as a senior executive at Acacia Mining Operations and currently continuing his executive leadership role at Ölmez Madencilik A.Ş.

Presently, as the HSE and Systems Manager at Ölmez Madencilik A.Ş., Bora AKSON manages the development of HSE culture, the establishment and sustainability of ISO 9001, 10002, 14001, 27001, 45001, and 50001 standards, emergency planning, energy efficiency, and information security processes. Through digital platforms such as QDMS, Ensemble, and Ölmez Academy, he contributes to embedding a culture of continuous improvement in organization.

Bora AKSON holds Lead Auditor certifications in ISO 9001, ISO 10002, ISO 14001, ISO 27001, ISO 45001, and ISO 50001 standards. In addition, he possesses internationally recognized qualifications such as NEBOSH Diploma, IOSH Managing Safely, MIIRSM, NVQ Level 7, LEED BD+C, and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt.
